Learn to StumbleUpon


This tutorial will teach you how to use stumbleupon in both ways. Stumbleupon is a sharing website that redirects users to websites within their chosen categories. This can be a great tool to get web visitors who are interested in your provided content. For each "stumble", the website will be shown to 2 other stumbleupon users. This can quickly die, or it can quickly become a hit amoung internet users, giving you a lot of traffic. First of all, go to http://www.stumbleupon.com/login.php and hit the "join button.


This brings you to the sign up page. Fill in your info to get started.




This will bring you to your home screen. Hit the "favourites" button.




This will bring you to a list of your stumbled content. Hit "add site" to stumble something else.




Fill in the form presented.




You will then be presented with the following. Give people the link the the website and allow the viewers to upvote.




This is all really. Although there is a better, faster and overall more simple way to share your content however. go to http://www.stumbleupon.com/help/download_stumbleupon/ .









Choose your browser then visit the website it gives and hit the install button. You will have a toolbar like the one shown below within your browser.





Now all you have to do is hit the "I like it" button. Once pressed, if the site is not already stumbled, you will be presented with a form to "review" the website, allowing you to choose tags and write a small review. Once stumbled, you can confirm it as the blue "thumbs up" will turn green. This means you have stumbled it.




And there you have it. StumbleUpon. Share your links as usual and if people stumble them, you could have a lot of traffic to your website. On your profile page, you can select categories, and use the "Stumble" button in the toolbar to find new websites related to them categories.
